SAVE 2006 STUDENT OF THE YEAR - Cassady Tetsworth
Cassady Tetsworth is an eighth grade student at Kernodle Middle School. Cassady has been chosen as a 2006 SAVE Student of the Year due to her never-ending efforts to ensure that Kernodle Middle School has an active SAVE chapter that not
only informs the school and community about violence prevention but also empowers the members as well as all of the
students and staff to take an active role in violence prevention in the school environment. Cassady is in her second
year as a chapter officer and she encourages all students to be active in the SAVE program. Not only does she help guide
the chapter in biweekly morning and evening meetings but she also leads the chapter officers in planning meetings.
Cassady organized and accompanied the SAVE chapter in presentations at local elementary schools where ideas about
violence prevention were shared. She also participated in a skit called the Witness which was filmed and will be aired
on the Guilford County District Television program. Congratulations, Cassady! Read more
