National SAVE Day at Desert Hills Middle School, Kennewick, WA

Kristen Henson, Thomas Jefferson Middle School, Greensboro, NC

North Chicago High School, Chicago, IL

St. Martinsville High School, St. Martinsville, LA

We handed out stickers and ribbons and put banners in the cafeteria and in front of the school. The SAVE Club is also in the process of collected care packages for our soldiers. - Clinton High School, Clinton, NC

On National SAVE Day, Dr. Richard Keller, coroner, speak to us, and Mr. Leon Rockingham, the Mayor of North Chicago, came to talk to the students about Gun Violence. - North Chicago High School, Chicago, IL

7th and 8th graders went to a presentation on National Day of Concern (against bringing a gun/weapon to school and not to settle problems with a gun/weapon. All grade levels were asked to sign a pledge and banner against guns. We had approximately 150 students sign the bullying pledge in 6th grade and about 600 students of all grade levels signed the gun pledge and banner. The banner will be hung in the hall so that all visitors can see it. - Farmville Middle School, Farmville, NC

We hung posters of students throughout the school who have passed away due to violence and each poster will have a statistic along with it. We also put orange and purple ribbons on all of the lockers, and every fourth ribbon will be orange to represent the 1 in 4 students affected by violence. We had peace pledges outside of the cafeteria for students to sign. Students could buy a Peace Links for $0.25 and put their name on it. Afterwards we put them together by class and the class with the longest link won the Peace Award. - Montbello High School, Denver, CO

On National SAVE Day we planted purple and orange flowers everywhere around the school campus. - Chapel Hill High School, Chapel Hill, NC

Our chapter asked the whole school to wear orange and purple on SAVE Day - Garner High School, Garner, NC
