The National Association of Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) celebrated the first annual National SAVE Day! on October 20, 2004. This event occured during National Safe Schools Week.

  • CELEBRITY AUCTION TO BENEFIT SAVE

    A special event on National SAVE Day will be the kick-off of the National SAVE Auction on Ebay featuring signed memorabilia donated by celebrities, musicians and professional athletes. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to go directly to program support for SAVE chapters nationwide. We hope you will take part in the auction and support SAVE!

    Ask your Mayor or Principal to proclaim it National SAVE Day for your school or community. Customize the sample below for your SAVE chapter.

    Customize the media advisory below for your chapter activities and send it to your local media. Don't forget to send to your school news channel, the public information office at the central office, and National SAVE!


    "SAVE: Youth Voices … Grown-Up Choices!” Photo Contest

    Planning some great SAVE events as part of National SAVE Day during National Safe Schools Week? Get your cameras out and ready to enter a picture in the “SAVE: Youth Voices … Grown-Up Choices!” Photo Contest. It’s easy … all you do is try to capture in one picture what most exemplifies SAVE. The picture should show what “SAVE: Youth Voices … Grown-Up Choices!” means.

    Guidelines:

    • Submit only ONE picture (No smaller than 3x5 and no larger than 5x7) of SAVE activities such as a peace rally, student assembly, service project, etc.
    • List on the back of the photo: SAVE Chapter Name, Main Contact, Complete Mailing Address, Email and Phone number with area code; as well as a brief description of the activities/events in the picture. (Photo will not be returned)
    • Winning photo will be spotlighted at National SAVE Summit, on website and in SAVE publications.
