THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SAVE STAR GRANTS SPONSORED BY THE ENTERTAINMENT SOFTWARE ASSOCIATION (ESA) FOUNDATION

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) Foundation has joined the National Associatoin of Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) to support SAVE chapters across the nation with Star mini-grants of up to $1,000. The awards will be used for violence prevention activities, resource material, SAVE curriculum, and projects.

SAVE is a student–initiated, student-run organization whose mission is to promote safe schools and communities by educating students about the effects and consequences of violence and to engage students in safe activities that benefit themselves and their community.

The ESA Foundation was created by the American interactive entertainment software industry to support and provide opportunities that can make a difference in the lives of America’s youth. The Foundation is fully supported by proceeds from “A Nite to Unite—for Kids,” its annual fund-raiser that has raised more than more than $6.4 million in the last five years for various organizations that serve youth including SAVE. The Entertainment Software Association is the U.S. association dedicated to serving the business and public affairs needs of companies publishing interactive games for video game consoles, handheld devices, personal computers, and the Internet.
