FALL INSTITUTE

Hello SAVE!

Another year is here and the current 2004-2005 National SAVE Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is hard at work representing nearly 1,500 SAVE chapters worldwide. Once again the “YABers” will journey through many experiences and adventures in planning events for SAVE, representing the members of SAVE, and creating useful materials to aid in preventing violence. So Watch out! The YABers are well on their way to providing a lot of time and effort to provide the 2005 National SAVE Summit.

September 17-19, 2004 the YABers, Collegiate Ambassadors, as well as advisors took time at the 2004 National SAVE YAB Institute to help plan and organize things that will be essential to another great year. Aside from the various icebreakers, the SAVE TOT (Training of Trainers), and the all time favorite-Wise Teambuilding! A number of things were accomplished at the Institute. The YABers decided on a theme for the Summit, got paired up with a Collegiate Ambassador to serve as a mentor with them throughout the year, and even had discussions on celebrity entertainment and donations. Gary Weart, first SAVE advisor, was also able to provide his support once again.

Overall everyone had positive feedback from the National SAVE YAB Institute. Each person gained something new, and left the retreat with high hopes of success for SAVE and the 10th Annual National SAVE Summit.
