Hello SAVE!

Yet again another school year is just around the corner, and that means that SAVE is about to start up again. My name is Heather Hernandez and I am the 2006-2007 Youth Advisory Board (YAB) Chair. I am from San Diego, California and am about to enter my senior year at Poway High School. I have been involved with SAVE for three years and this will be my third year on the National SAVE Youth Advisory Board. I am so excited for the school year with a new group of amazing YABers.

This year there is so much going on with SAVE, including the first ever SAVE Rock-a-thon which will take place on September 15th, 2006. This will be a fun way to share the SAVE message with your community. Another great way to tell others about SAVE is through National Safe Schools Week. During this week, on October 18th all SAVE chapters will be celebrating National SAVE Day. This year the SAVE Summit will be held on March 31st.
