and the second position was Sergeant of Arms in 2007-2008, and his thrid position was Vice President in 2010-2011. His experience as a Vice President and
Sergeant of Arms has enhanced his leadership skills and enabled him to work with a diverse group of people.
Along with being a member of SAVE, Nigel is involved with the youth in his church. He likes to keep the kids involved and to let them know what is going on
around the world. He also works with his grandparent''>s franchise and also Piggly Wiggly to keep himself from getting involved with any destructive decisions.
In addition, Nigel mime dances with youths his age and younger to teach them about responsibility and teach them how dancing for God interacts with nonviolence.
Through Nigel''>s experience with SAVE, he has learned while also having fun.
Being a member of the Youth Advisory Board, he hopes to bring more ideas and bring those ideas and others back home to Farmville. Nigel says, "I''>m looking

Brady Ledbetter is a sophomore at Ira High School which is located in the small town of Ira, TX. The total

being selected as a national Youth Advisor board member. A few things that he
would like to continue is a yearly summit that the Ira chapter started this year. He wants to see SAVE
grow; he truly sees a need for more chapters in this area. Brady has had a love for SAVE and what it
stands for and has seen what a difference it has made even in his own school. Brady has participated in
many different service projects with his SAVE chapter during this first year of being a member and
helped head up the first SAVE summit that Ira hosted. He has also been a member of the Student Council,

Jaclyn Morton, Secretary
School: Highland School of Technology, NC
Advisor: Ami Parker
Grade: Junior
Jaclyn Paige Morton is a junior at Highland School of Technology in Gastonia, NC. This is the
second year that she has been involved with my local SAVE chapter, and her first with the National Youth Advisory
Board. During hery freshman year of high school (2009-2010), she was the Secretary of our SAVE Chapter and for
the current year (2010-2011), she is serving as the President of her SAVE Chapter and will continue this
role for the next school year. These positions have taught her tremendous leadership and teambuilding
skills that without SAVE she would not have learned.
Besides being actively involved in community service through her SAVE chapter, she is involved in the
community outside of school. She is very involved with her church group where she helps build the children’s
faith by leading in worship and Vacation Bible School. Along with working with her church, she is involved
with the local United Way Youth Council for the second year. This Council helps build community
relationships through team building exercises, fundraisers, and assisting with the local under-privileged
families.
Through these activities, Jaclyn has gained a passion for preventing violence. She learned the only way to do
this is to spread community awareness and offer structured activities in which students, teens and adults
can participate, lessening the chances for violent behavior. It is her hope that through future involvement
with the YAB, she will gain experiences that she can bring back home to share with others.

Jessica Weber, Marketing/PR
School: Cuthbertson High School, NC
Advisor: Leah Ross
Grade: Junior
Jessica Weber was born and raised in New Jersey until she and her family moved to Waxhaw North
Carolina five years ago. She is a Junior at Cuthbertson High School in Waxhaw. Because Cuthbertson was a new school in 2010, clubs and organizations
needed to be started. When Jessica heard about SAVE and what it stands for, she knew what she needed to do.
She established the SAVE club with the help of with her advisor, Ms.
Leah Ross. Jessica is currently the president of SAVE and they have made
great progress throughout the first year. The club had 15 members its first year but Jessica knows the club will double and
triple in size in the years to come.
Jessica also plays softball and is hoping to go to college on a softball scholarship. She plays centerfield for the
high school team and was nominated as captain this past season. She also plays on an elite travel team, the
Lady Lightning, and plays right field for them. The team travels the country to play against the "best of the
best" as some might say. It is truly a breath taking experience and she is very thankful that she has been given
this opportunity.
If there is one thing she would want for everyone to know about her is that she always tries to have an open mind and
a positive attitude. Jessica thinks having those two traits are key to a happy life. She is looking forward to getting
to know everyone on the Youth Advisory Board and is certain that they will have a lot of success and create great memories.
