STUDENTS AGAINST VIOLENCE EVERYWHERE
ALLSTATE ANNOUNCES OPPORTUNITIES FOR SAVE CHAPTERS
Act Out Loud
As a part of National Youth Traffic Safety Month in May, The
Allstate Foundation's Keep the Drive
program brings you ActOutLoud.org, a national teen- and school-led activism competition to
help spread the word about safe teen driving. Visit ActOutLoud.org
to submit your chapter's safe driving project idea for the
chance to win up to $10,000. The winning team will also be
able to direct an additional $5,000 to National SAVE. But
hurry - the deadline for submissions is midnight on March 26!
Visit ActOutLoud.org for more details.
Activist of the Year Awards
To help celebrate National Youth
Traffic Safety Month in May, The Allstate Foundation announces
the inaugural Activist of the Year Awards.
The awards will recognize one teen and one parent who went
above and beyond in 2007 to address the issue of teen driving
and advocate for a change in the staggering teen driving statistics.
The Allstate Foundation began recently accepting submissions
for the awards. Again, anyone can nominate a parent or teen,
and teens and parents may nominate themselves by visiting
www.TeenDrivingActivist.com.
Complete rules and eligibility requirements for awards also
are available at www.TeenDrivingActivist.com.
Nominations are due by April 21st.
The winners will be notified in May during
National Youth Traffic Safety Month.
The Parent Activist of the Year will be able to designate
National SAVE to receive a $10,000 grant. The Teen Activist
of the Year will win a $10,000 cash prize and the opportunity
to designate a $5,000 grant to National SAVE.
We hope your chapter will participate in this worthwhile recognition
opportunity for teens and parents doing exemplary work on the teen driving issue.
