STUDENTS AGAINST VIOLENCE EVERYWHERE CHAPTER HIGHLIGHT
Everglades Youth Development Center, Florida

The Everglades Youth Development Center in Florida incorporates the S.A.V.E. program all year long. The Youth use S.A.V.E. awareness projects to help turn their lives around so they can return to their neighborhoods and make a difference. Recently, the members wrote essays on the theme "Stop the Violence"- How I can help my neighborhood a safer place to live. These essays were written by 15, 16, 17, and 18 year olds. Each one has a way of expressing an opinion but they all seem to have come to similar conclusions as their voices are heard through their writing.

They also displayed some of their S.A.V.E. posters during the Outdoor Spring Auto Show in Homestead at the Main Street Museum in the Chamber of Commerce Building.
