Each year the National Association of Students Against Violence Everywhere hosts an annual Summit for students, advisors, and community members to celebrate the success of SAVE
chapters for the year. Chapter members lead workshop sessions, display accomplishments in Exhibit Alley, and have the opportunity to network with students from across the country.

This year's theme, Turn Off the Violence, Tune Into SAVE," was chosen by the National SAVE
Youth Advisory Board to reflect the promise of SAVE
and its stand against violence of all kinds by students everywhere for years to come!
The 2008 Summit will be held at the McKimmon Center on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC on April 5, 2008. There will be motivating workshops, outstanding speakers, a multimedia slide show presentation, and a national service project. Workshop sessions will be filled with both fun and educational information. The sessions will be presented by SAVE
members from across the country.

Pathway to Prevention is the official exhibit area of the 12th Annual SAVE
Summit. Youth and adult practitioners will visit your booth to learn about the latest programs and services. But even better, they will return home to share this information with other youth and community volunteers, school administrators, civic groups, and policy makers. Share your resources with Summit participants from across the country as they develop skills and learn new strategies while building and strengthening partnerships in preventing school and youth violence. Help us as we Educate, Empower, Encourage, and Engage students and youth leaders in successful violence prevention strategies!

Service Project: Tune into Service!
This year's national service project entitled, Tune into Service, involves chapters collecting new or gently used walkmans, CD players, mp3 players, and nonviolent CDs. Chapters are encouraged to provide these collected items to local orphanages, homeless shelters, crisis centers, to distribute to students in need. Chapters who attend the summit are asked to bring some of these items to the summit for a national need.

Chapter to display at the National SAVESummit! This year's visual should be in the design of a CD Cover! Be creative! Be sure to send in your CD Cover before March 15, 2008 and include your chapters name, city and state!
Picture This! Call for Photos
National SAVE
is once again creating a big screen slide show to acknowledge the achievements of SAVE
chapters. In order to make the show as inclusive as possible, we need photos by March 15, 2008 showing active work by your chapter (i.e. service projects, meetings, skits, etc.).
Please email your pictures to cwray@nationalsave.org or mail them to the National SAVE
office. Don't forget to include the following with each photo:
1. School/ Chapter name 2. Advisor name 3. Date and Name of Event pictured (and possibly names of students in the photo)
Photos will be kept for the NationalSAVE
photo albums and exhibits.
Shout Out for SAVE!
The SAVESummit is always full of great violence prevention chants and raps. SAVE Chapters are encouraged to create a shout out or rap for this year's SAVEsummit. Winning entries will be chosen to "shout out" their chants/raps at the Summit. Submit your chapters shout out/rap to the NationalSAVE office no later than March 15, 2008.
SAVE's TOP 10 Count Down!
What are your Chapters favorite top five songs that promote peace and nonviolence? Please send your chapter's list via email to cwray@nationalsave.org before March 15th! All votes will be tallied and SAVE's Top Ten Countdown will be played at the NationalSAVESummit!
